What we did in JULY this year:
You are in for a treat because we were very busy and I took lots of pictures. All of Jon's family came into town for the 4th of July and we went camping for the weekend up to camp Neighborly on Lake Roosevelt. I was worried that camping was going to be a dangerous event with a almost two year old but he did AWESOME and I didn't needed to worry at all. So I could have avoided getting that cold sore on my lip after all... what a concept!!
Here is Garret, Katie and Will playing on the water toys at the campsite.
Nixon LOVED camping and loved being outdoors all the time!!

Lots of time was spent around the camp fire, it was colder than we wanted it to be but it was beautiful all weekend long.
Over by the cabins there is this bear, Nixon thought it was pretty cool!!
You will never guess but the thing we did most was throw rocks into the lake from the shore. I took a chair down and he would throw rocks forever.
Tanner and Nixon walking around one morning. Nixon wanted to be big like the other kids and roam around, he needs to get a little bigger still.
The key is to balance on the wake enough to let go of the rope and ride it like a wave. This is the KEY mind you!
We got Nixon this wheel barro to play with while camping and he went around picking up sticks and pine cones. Garret loved it too, it was a hit!
For the 4th of July we had to boat over to the Indian side of the lake to light off fireworks. We left the little kids at camp asleep and went over when it was dark.
The BIG boys were in charge of all the lighting.. it was hilarious they were like little kids out there. I am surprised nothing got caught on fire. We did have one incident where the boat was about a foot away from having a firework land IN it, a little scary!!
The boys threw some high and let them fall into the water, they actually still went off after landing in the water.
We loved camping... what a success and what fun memories we made!!
