Nixon Turns 2 Years Old...Holy Cow!!

Jon is my creative go to guy!! I know you wouldn't think so but he is a very good at the creative arts. So when I bought the cake pan for Nixon's birthday and looked at the detail work I wasn't thinking of doing it myself, I was thinking "yeah Jon could do that!"
So here is Jon designing the Lightning McQueen cake the night before Nixon's 2 year birthday!
Good thing it wasn't put into my hands... I am not as patient!!

The final product....how awesome is that cake!!!

Jon and I got up together when Nixon got up and went into his room with his two balloons and a present and we sang "Happy Birthday" as we walked in. Nixon's face was priceless, I got a video I will have to upload later. After we sang he kept saying "happy day, happy day" he was so happy!!

Since Christmas Nixon has gotten better at opening presents, it makes it a lot more fun to wrap presents and give them.

A tee ball set!! Jon says we actually got this for us because Nixon will make us throw him pitches for hours, now he can set it up and hit it himself...Perfect!!

A new shirt!!

By the third new shirt, it wasn't as exciting for him...lol!!

Nixon got new cars from the movie CARS... he LOVES cars!!

For lunch we took him to Savage Land Pizza where he got to play and eat pizza!

Tanner, Katie and Garret got Nixon a BIG FIRETRUCK.. he was SO excited!!

Too bad those toys take the BIG boys so long to get them out of the box.... Nixon wanted it NOW not 15 minutes later when it was all out of the box.

It made it out of the box....and we had a happy boy again.

That night we walked down to Chester Store and got a BIG Popsicle.

What a great day this Birthday Boy had!!

The festivities continued the next morning when Grammy and Pompa gave him their present.

It was a big Mac truck from the movie Cars that holds all the little cars in it's trailer. It is pretty sweet!!

Again Nixon had to wait patiently as Mac had to get out of the box...

Jon's friend Jake is a firefighter and so we went and had a tour of the fire station and fire trucks for his birthday. It was just us so it was a lot of fun and Nixon was in heaven.

He loved how high off the ground the truck was.

Once he got in the truck it was hard to get him back out:)

Now he is ready to go fight some fires:)

And of course he loved the TIRES.... you should see him at Costco... the tire center is like a park!
