A Bunch of Randomness

Jon is playing on a Modified Fast Pitch softball team this year (along with two other teams) and Nixon and I went to one of the games. Nixon ran around in one of the open fields the whole time and got SO dirty but oh was he a happy boy!!
He slid and everything... he was COVERED in dirt!

Nixon wanted to run around more, but it was time to go home!

We made a baby chain for Nixon to count down until his birth and so we decided to do one for this baby too! Here is the chain counting down until October 22nd!

"Baby Sister" chain as Nixon calls it!

Jon and Nixon play out in the backyard almost everyday. Nixon loves to ride Jon like a horse on the tramp and make him bounce up and down.

It makes Nixon's hair go up and down too, it is so funny!

Nixon cutting off links to the baby sister chain!!!

I made this really cute lady bug hooded towel for a gift.

It turned out so cute I had to take pictures so that if I got the urge I could make it again:)

There are three deer that hang out in the backyard at Karen's house. One morning we looked out to see this deer just hanging out in the shade under the tramp. The dogs were obviously not out there yet. The deer are pretty brave though I must say, the dogs don't scare them as much as I would think.

Freezer Corn time has come again. One morning bright and early we started the husking and the cleaning and the cutting and the cooking.... but it sure is good corn!

The huskers!! Nixon loved handing them corn and putting them in the bowl.

Jon was the washer of the corn. I think we did over 5 dozen ears of corn.... it was a lot of work!
Darby's birthday is at the end of August and we always get them bones for the big day!
Happy Birthday Darby, she is now 5 years old!

Nixon thought he would ride Gauge while he ate his bone... luckily Gauge is a mellow dog.

Nixon is very interested in everything that we do, he is very interested in Jon shaving his beard. I let him have a razor with a cover on it and it thinks he is so awesome shaving with Papa.

Get that chin...

Learning early... little does he know he will hate doing it someday:)

My boys watching sports!

They re paved the road outside the house for a couple of days and Nixon was in HEAVEN. He would stand at the window and watch the big trucks for hours! We even had to eat our meals in front of the window.
Sorry for the no pants shot, we are potty training:)
