Camping For the 4th of July!

What we did in JULY this year:
You are in for a treat because we were very busy and I took lots of pictures. All of Jon's family came into town for the 4th of July and we went camping for the weekend up to camp Neighborly on Lake Roosevelt. I was worried that camping was going to be a dangerous event with a almost two year old but he did AWESOME and I didn't needed to worry at all. So I could have avoided getting that cold sore on my lip after all... what a concept!!

Here is Garret, Katie and Will playing on the water toys at the campsite.

Nixon LOVED camping and loved being outdoors all the time!!

Tanner and Will

Nixon playing with cars in his camp chair!

Lots of time was spent around the camp fire, it was colder than we wanted it to be but it was beautiful all weekend long.

Nixon and Garret.

Man this kid is cute!! Even with marshmallow on his face!

Over by the cabins there is this bear, Nixon thought it was pretty cool!!

You will never guess but the thing we did most was throw rocks into the lake from the shore. I took a chair down and he would throw rocks forever.

I tried to make sure he didn't hit the jet ski, at least with the big rocks:)

Tanner and Nixon walking around one morning. Nixon wanted to be big like the other kids and roam around, he needs to get a little bigger still.

Breakfast Time... pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and hash browns...hello YUMMY!! I love camp food!

Will and Nixon riding Jon like a horse!!

The kids playing ball!

Kirt got a new board for wake surfing, it was the hit of the trip.

The key is to balance on the wake enough to let go of the rope and ride it like a wave. This is the KEY mind you!

The beach bums...

Josh was really good at wake surfing, he rode the wake the longest.

Nixon got use to the sand and liked digging in it with Jon.

Garret and Nixon playing in the trailer.

It looked like so much fun the other little boys got in too!
Cody, Nixon, Garret and Will

We got Nixon this wheel barro to play with while camping and he went around picking up sticks and pine cones. Garret loved it too, it was a hit!

Making food in the dutch ovens!

The eating and visiting area... and Jessy thought we didn't get a good picture of her!

The kids!!

Out camp site!!

Kirt wake surfing!

For the 4th of July we had to boat over to the Indian side of the lake to light off fireworks. We left the little kids at camp asleep and went over when it was dark.

We started with sparklers... take a stick on fire and wave it around kids!!

I am still a kid I can do it too!!

The BIG boys were in charge of all the lighting.. it was hilarious they were like little kids out there. I am surprised nothing got caught on fire. We did have one incident where the boat was about a foot away from having a firework land IN it, a little scary!!

Here we are watching the show!!

The boys threw some high and let them fall into the water, they actually still went off after landing in the water.

This pic was cool I thought!!

Our little tent!!

The view from our tent!

The view from out the front door of the tent, can't get much better than that.

Here is a better one from the side!!
Nixon playing ball on the beach!

And playing in the sand!!

He liked it when we buried his feet!!

This is about how far Nixon got into the water, the whole time we were there!

Family woofle ball...TRADITION

Jet ski rides, Nixon LOVED it!! HE liked to go "FAST PAPA"

Josh peeing off the end of the boat... just kidding it's the bags emptying from the boat.

Katie buried all the way in the sand!

Slowing making her way out of there.

More woofle ball

We loved camping... what a success and what fun memories we made!!

A beautiful view from the ride home!!

Nixon and Will singing songs around the camp fire!
